Jerry Cahir, an Irish artist based in Roscrea, County Tipperary, is renowned for his evocative paintings and sculptures that draw inspiration from mythology, history, and local heritage. Born in Ennis, County Clare, Jerry’s artistic journey began later in life, with his career blossoming in recent years.

His work has been featured in several exhibitions, including his third solo exhibition, “Whisperings of the Soul,” which opened in Kenny’s Lahinch Art Gallery in 2011.

Jerry’s sculptures are prominently displayed throughout Roscrea, enhancing the town’s cultural landscape. Notable installations include the “Battle of Roscrea” art installation on the Mall, which commemorates the historic battle where locals repelled Viking raiders.

Additionally, his sculptures on Monastery Road pay tribute to Roscrea’s rich milling history, acknowledging the significant role of local mills in the town’s development.
